Sony has announced at CES convention in Las Vegas that they will launch a revamped version of their Connect music-download service. Connect was initially launched in May of 2004 to compete directly with iTunes but has struggled to compete for market share.
“Soon, Sony will be rewriting the rules once again,” the company said in a statement. “The Connect service will enable you to download hundreds of videos, games, and TV shows as well as films and other content. You’ll even be able to browse from a wide selection of .”
The one thing that I hope this time around is that Sony doesn’t make Connect incompatible with iPod. I think that was the single biggest blunder that they made the first time around.
